I am hoping you can send this message to our classmates for us. I am unable to find the web site right now as my mind is not functioning on anything or anyone except Mike. Two years ago he had an aggressive and fast growing bladder cancer. He went thru aggressive chemo treatment and was in remission for almost two years. Two weeks ago Mike had a cat scan and that showed several swollen lymph nodes in his stomach. He had a biopsy and found the cancer had returned. He will be having radiation, surgery and chemo treatment if the pet scan comes back clean. If it shows it's spread then we go to plan B, whatever that is!
We are in Hawaii for three weeks as was planned and when we get home Mike will have the pet scan. The doctors agreed it would be good for us to get away and prepare for what comes next.
We are asking for prayers from our classmates.

Updated: 3/13/08Dave Powers father Clifford W. Powers died March 2, 2008, at age 102. Clifford W. Powers was born June 21, 1905, in Milwaukee and moved to Portland in 1910. He graduated from Jefferson High School and the University of Oregon School of Law. He moved to Lake Grove in 1943 and was an attorney in the firm of Powers, McCulloch & Bennett, retiring at age 98. He was a director and president of the Oswego Lake Corp., an attorney for the Lake Grove School District and a school board chairman for the Lake Oswego School District. In 1931, he married Katherine Graff; she died in 1997.
Survivors include his daughter, Sally Rogers; son, David; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Remembrances to Lake Oswego Adult Community Center. Arrangements by Riverview Abbey. Lesley Petrequin, wife of Dennis Petrequin died January 29, 2008 in Portland at age 63. (See In Memoriam for obituary).

Sally (Powers) Rogers called to tell me that she found a pin with "M. Gilbert" engraved on it, and seed pearls, while vacuuming Clifford's home. Sally thinks that it belongs to someone who attended our 45th Class Reunion at the Power's home on the lake.

Bill Murdock's father Miles Murdock passed away Sept. 13, 2007. He was 87 years old.
He served as a B-29 co--pilot, navigator and bombardier. His
B-29 was the first to return from 25 unescorted missions over

Betsy Levy Patterson had neck surgery on September 8, 2007 due to injuries suffered in a car accident 2½ years ago. Betsy had to have a disc fused at vertebra C6-C7 taking a bone graft from her hip (ouch) for the neck fusion. Betsy's well on the way to recovery and Dan's been a tremendous help waiting on her hand and foot when he can catch her sitting still for a few minutes.
